Life… and Tragedy

mourningGone. Just that quickly. Here and then no more.

It’s amazing how rapidly death can come. The baby daughter of some dear friends – a tragic accident. Her earthly life snuffed out. Far too fast. And far too soon.

“Show me, O Lord, my life’s end and the number of my days; let me know how fleeting is my life. You have made my days a mere handbreadth; the span of my years is as nothing before you. Each man’s life is but a breath” (Psalm 39:4-5).

Life here on Earth is short. For some, much too short. Thank God that we have hope for life after death.

I encourage you to hug your loved ones an extra time today. Don’t let a misunderstanding – or even an intentional rift – keep you apart.

Josie B… in the arms of her Savior, but greatly missed by family and loved ones on Earth.
